The new downriver rules of the Italian federation for 2013 allow a maximum of two deviations along the venue, in order to make the race more difficult. This new rule is being adopted here in Valstagna, Brenta river, for the very first time, during the selection races for the incoming Europeans in Bovec (SLO), on the very difficult and meandering Soca river.
