THE FOUNDER
Rob van Bommel's career in paddlesports began in the Netherlands where Rob was a member of the canoe slalom national team. Since then he has paddled whitewater and guided trips on some of the world's most impressive rivers. Rob held marketing posts at such companies as Patagonia and The North Face, then became a consultant with KPMG, ING and Bank of Scotland. These important experiences have benefitted Rob as he develops Sportscene TV. As the founder of Sportscene, Rob is immersed in paddlesports on and off the water. He is still paddling slalom, downriver and ocean while also pursuing his self-admitted Holy Grail of mastering the “perfect stroke” in sprint! |
